REGION 6 TRAINING PROGRAM

FALL 2007 

JACOA is pleased to be the designated regional training provider for Region 6.  Regional training events are made possible through a grant provided by the Department of Mental Health, Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services.

All workshops are approved by the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services for prevention and treatment professional to receive training credit. JACOA also offers Continuing Education Units for all scheduled workshops.  CEU’s are provided at an additional cost of $15.00 per workshop through Jackson State Community College.   

A few notes to remember when you attend a training event:

  • Not all trainings will be held at JACOA.  Individual training brochures with complete information will be posted on our website at www.jacoa.org as soon as they are completed.

  • Two week pre-registration is requested for all trainings/workshops.

  • Registration fees should be paid in advance and are non-refundable. Please note if your agency needs to be billed for the registration fees.

  • Actual attendance will be reflected on all certificates. Some trainings will require that certificates be mailed to participants at the conclusion of the training.

  • CEU's are available for counselors, social workers, and other professionals for an additional $15, made payable to Jackson State Community College.

  • Students with a valid college ID can attend trainings at half the regular fee.
